Was sitting next to Shuping when we both read this email that was sent to the entire news department. Thinking that it was a real dragonfly, we both thought that the sender was a wee bit over-zealous. The torso and head part reminded us of the Philippino maid's body parts case and it felt sick... besides... a blue and yellow dragonfly... sounds poisonous.

Then something felt very wrong - I looked down at my slippers and realised that one side of my slippers had something missing- my beaded dragonfly thingy.

Accompanied by my supervisor, (after much mirth) to 'claim from the Foreign Desk next to the first TV set' from a highly amused lady.

Supervisor: (to someone from the foreign desk) Do you know where's Mary's table?
Un-named Lady: Over there, why?
Supervisor: Oh, do you know where she kept the dragonfly?
Un-named Lady: OH! YOU MEAN THE DRAGONFLY'S YOURS (highly amused)
Supervisor: (points at me)
Un-named Lady: HAHAHAHAHHA!!! Where did it come from??!!

Anyway, I pointed to my feet sheepishly and she started to laugh. The exchange was heard by many at the Foreign desk. I swear, if my foot could blush, it would've immediately changed into the brightest shade of red.

That was the joke of the day.

After the hilarity died down... my fav. mentor approached me and asked to look at the dragonfly's yellow and green torso. News spreads.

I'm so embarrassed.
